Spring cleaning should include a trip to your local, sustainable carwash, MCA proclaims

April showers bring May flowers, yet a sprinkle won’t get your vehicle as clean as a local carwash

Local, family-owned carwashes are the best place to start checking off your spring cleaning “to-do” list.

Additionally, carwashes provide a more efficient and environmentally friendly way to clean your vehicle because they use 60% less water than at-home washes and recycle that water for further use, preventing detergents and other chemicals from leaching into storm drains and eventually our waterways. Carwashes done at home often result in massive runoff into local storm drains that can contaminate our water.

“Spring is a great time to visit your local mom-and-pop carwash and get a shiny clean vehicle to show off on in your neighborhood and enjoy driving in warmer weather,” said Mark Deulingoperator of Walker Car Wash and member of the Midwest Carwash Association. “As a local carwash operator, I take pride in providing a second-to-none service to our customers and acting as a good neighbor in our community. I am also proud to do my part in protecting our environment by providing a greener way to get the winter grit off your vehicle as warmer weather approaches.”
